Connect four with year 1 Islanders

Islanders played connect four with vowel digraphs practiced during our Road to Reading intervention.  They loved practicing their skills and competing with each other at the same time.

Kindergarten Goes Fishing!

Kindergarten focus groups went fishing for some beginning sounds.  Students had fun catching a fish and matching the picture to it's beginning sound.

Islanders Multiplication Ninjas

Islanders receiving Title math support are currently working on becoming multiplication ninjas!  They practice with their own set of flashcards, quiz each other, play multiplication games, and take timed tests to earn their way up to a black belt in multiplication.  The whole group is currently working on their yellow belts.  Go islanders!

Countdown to the first day...

Thank you to everyone who visited us at the Hot Dog Night last night.  We had a great turnout and enjoyed visiting with everyone and meeting a few new people.  Please be sure to check back here throughout the school year to stay up to date on events happening in our school as well as what's happening in Title 1.

Last Title Focus Group

We had our last focus group for the school year today.  We've had a great time this year with our Title students.  Today we celebrated with some fun games of pictionary, spoons, and sight word twister.  The students also received their bags of goodies for the summer packed with summer workbooks, fun books to read, a notebook, pencils, and other fun supplies.  Here are some students checking out their supplies.

Pizza Lunch Celebration

Our Title focus group students in grades 3-6 will be celebrating their hard work on the Spring Edperformance testing this Thursday.  Title teachers will be providing a pizza lunch for our students, we are excited to share this time with them.  Title students in grades 3-6 do not need to bring a lunch on May 22nd as we will be having our celebration during lunchtime.
